Eurasian wren
(oil on canvas, 18x18cm, synthetic frame) - 200€. I've always been surprised how such a tiny animal can produce such a loud and rich song that carries far in the damp, cold forest air. Eurasian wrens (Troglodytes troglodytes) are among Europe's smallest birds, yet their presence is anything but subtle. Often hard to see, they are ever-present in our woodlands and even in cities, where they dart through dense undergrowth, hedges, and garden shrubs. Their rounded bodies and cocked tails give them quite a distinctive silhouette, while their constant movement and sharp calls make them easier to hear than to spot.
